Ian Balfour
Ian Balfour was appointed CEO of INSPAC in August 2010.
Ian Balfour comes with over 50 Years underwriting and insurance management experience in the Pacific. 3
He set up National Pacific Insurance (NPI Western Samoa) and the Kiribati Insurance Corporation and spent
20 years with Tower (National Insurance) in New Zealand and as UK Manager.
He has had extensive underwriting experience and negotiated National Insurance Company (Tower) treaty Programme
in the Lloyds and European markets. He was also the aviation underwriter for Aviation Underwriting Co- operative
in New Zealand and CEO of Panpacific Underwriters, NPI Guam and First Reinsurance Company (New Zealand).
His approach will be to continue the steady strict underwriting controls whilst injecting enthusiasm and motivation
to grow the Company over the next 3 years.
Our Staff
Inspac’s underwriting staff have a combined 35 years underwriting experience in the PNG market.
All staff are being trained to fully utilize the full ambit of the software and gives them a distinct edge in
proficiency and quality plus integrity of information and data.
The Inspac Management Team is being built on the back of some of the most experienced insurance professionals
in PNG together with carefully selected expatriate support, committed to building a world class insurance operation,
capable of competing not just in the PNG domestic market but also in the international arena..
